CS Fire Monitor – Useful System Monitor
Would you like to learn more about your system, but don’t know how to go about it? You can do what I always do – turn to software and see if there is an application out there that can lend a helping hand. The application that can prove to be of help in this situation is the Shane Croft-developed CS Fire Monitor.
The first thing you will notice after you install this application is an icon in the taskbar. The icon displays a series of numbers – those numbers represent the current CPU usage. It is only normal the numbers change as the CPU usage changes.
Place the mouse cursor over the CS Fire Monitor icon in the taskbar and you will be provided with some additional information. CS Fire Monitor will tell you how much RAM memory is available and what your IP address is.
But if you want access to a ton of system information, then you need to double click the taskbar icon. This will open the CS Fire Monitor user interface where you will be able to find out more about your bandwidth, CPU, drives, hardware, IP, memory, running processes, services, and installed applications.
Right click the CS Fire Monitor taskbar icon and you will have easy access to some other bits and pieces this application can do:
- Instantly clean the system memory
- Copy the IP to the clipboard; send an email with your IP (you must take the time to provide the required info in Email Settings)
- Access the Remote View settings. Remote View is a feature that allows you or others to view certain stats, remotely of course.
- Enable a mini monitor.
- Show TCP/IP information or repair the network
- Check for CS Fire Monitor updates.
Before you go and get CS Fire Monitor and see first hand what the application has to offer, check out these technical details:
Download – the download weighs in at little over 6MB, which means that if you’re on a high-speed internet connection it shouldn’t take long for the download to complete.
Installation – installing CS Fire Monitor is a simple process that completes in little time. At the time of writing this the application provides support for Windows 2000, Windows 2003, Windows 2008 (32-bit edition), XP, and Vista.
Limitations – there are no limitations. You can use CS Fire Monitor free of charge for as long as you want.
CS Fire Monitor is a free application that can monitor just about any aspect of your system.
